Managing Project Design, Development and Construction Solutions
Ric D’Amico leads a collaborative process among engaged stakeholders and investors committed to the delivery of dynamic environments that transform the way we think about great communities, programs and amenities for residents. He places equal emphasis on creating work spaces that attract and retain employees, across all generations. No matter the size and scope of a project, he fundamentally believes that the legacy of the best built environments are in the high caliber of amenities and programs that flourish within them.
Managing more than $2.1 billion in total project costs, his diverse portfolio represents 14.8 million square feet in new construction, repositioning and campus remodeling projects. Working with well-qualified design consultants and contractors, his teams delivered mixed-use, multifamily and senior living communities recognized as the best in their markets. He also works with community leaders to align projects, with public initiatives that enhance their regional identity and make a positive impact on neighborhoods.
Significant national and regional project team awards include:
- American Institute of Architects (AIA): Architecture, Interiors and Landscape Design Awards
- Best Multi-Family Project, Landmark Award – Houston Business Journal
- Environments for Aging Design Showcase Winner – Society for the Advancement of Gerontological Environments
- Excellence in Construction – Assoc. Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston Contractors
- Historic Preservation – American Planning Association
The awards above represent principled leadership that delivers projects based on high standards of excellence. Recognizing market preferences and construction industry trends – while managing high design and investor expectations – allows Ric to preserve program and quality, with mission and financial goals. It is too easy to lose design integrity during the value engineering process, changes to market preferences, or as interest rate fluctuation requires realignment of the project. He diligently manages how designers and contractors mitigate these circumstances, to deliver market relevant projects that strengthen regional brand identity.
